Abstract

The Exploration of issues faced by society paves the way for more purposeful planning. The concepts of virtue and corruption and their definitions vary across different schools of thought. Given the diverse interpretations of virtue and corruption within ethical schools and by scholars such as Allameh Mesbah Yazdi، this study seeks to answer the pivotal question: what is the perspective of virtue and corruption in ethical schools of thought versus Allameh Mesbah Yazdi's view، and which is more appropriate? The aim is to highlight the commonalities and differences in these viewpoints، providing a clearer and more accurate understanding. Through a descriptive-analytical approach، based on existing sources and articles، this research concludes that both the Quran and Allameh Mesbah Yazdi affirm the existence of genuine virtue and corruption. The stance of ethical schools، which denies the precise meanings of these concepts، is not acceptable، as it implies the non-existence of absolute virtue and corruption. Ultimately، for any type of religious virtue، a legitimate interpretation must be accepted to differentiate between what is clear and what is ambiguous، as Islamic concepts—according to the Quran—have an absolute meaning for virtue and corruption، which is essential for distinguishing between them
