Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explain the consequences of fashionism as one of the consequences of the Western lifestyle in order to reveal the conflict between this style behavior and the Islamic lifestyle. To achieve this goal, and with a descriptive and analytical method, an attempt has been made to draw the geometry of fashion in Veblen's thought using the method of ontology; For this purpose, the concept of fashion and fashionism and the concepts related to these two concepts have been taken from Thorstein Veblen's book The Theory of the Prosperous Class and a semantic connection has been established between them based on the criteria of ontology. The research data is that the concept of fashion and fashionism has harmful consequences for Veblen both in the field of thought and in the field of ethics; That is, this social anomaly has an irreversible effect on existence, both in the field of thought and morality, and these connections are depicted in the text of the article.
